Arts Empowering Life is a nonprofit foundation dedicated to the pursuit of beauty, truth, and faith in the Arts — sharing inspiration and education with people across many nationalities, cultures, and traditions. The Foundation was started in 1988 to support the growth and development of the world-class choir, Gloriæ Dei Cantores. Gloriæ Dei Cantores has touched the hearts and audiences in twenty-three countries in Europe, Russia, North America, and has received extensive critical acclaim for its artistic elegance, performance authenticity, and compelling spirituality. Its catalog of more than fifty recordings is distributed by Naxos International. Since 1988, Arts Empowering Life has added the artistic groups of Elements Theatre Company, Mount Tabor Ecumenical Centre for Art and Spirituality, Spirit Fife & Drum, and Spirit Winter Percussion. The rehearsal space designed will be used by all the above-referenced groups, but it is very specifically being designed with the unique needs of the Spirit Winter Percussion group.

Spirit Winter Percussion of Orleans, Massachusetts is an award-winning indoor marching percussion ensemble under the direction of Richard K. Pugsley, whose members range from ages 10-22. Every year, the group immerses itself in a richly educational process of developing from its initial concept to full production, a dynamic, competitive show. Each season culminates in the Winter Guard International (WGI) World Championships in Dayton, Ohio. In addition to teaching the rudiments of music and marching, the experience of Spirit Winter Percussion helps young people to develop essential life skills of leadership, teamwork, discipline, empathy, and respect. Since the groups inception in 2004, Spirit Winter Percussion has always placed in the top 6 nationally, earning 2 Good Medals, 4 Silvers, and 2 Bronze.

Young people from all economic walks have participated in the ensemble. The group has open auditions every season, and young people at all levels of ability are accepted into the group. The only requirements are an eager spirit, a willingness to be taught, and the ability and desire to reach for something larger than the individual. The staff all have world-class resumes in percussion, marching, dance, or theatre, and have helped each graduating member with musical and life skills.
